Many Moons Psychotherapy

Meet the Therapeutic Cats

In December 2013, Many Moons Psychotherapy Services Inc. welcomed two special additions to its creative and soothing atmosphere. Vivian & Salvador are an elderly brother/sister pair who were in search of a forever home. Since they had previously been de-clawed, a safe, indoor home was needed. Their gentle, passive nature and noisy purrs make them a perfect added element to the therapeutic experience.

"For myself, cats are very helpful to relax
and help in the therapeutic process.
Cats are also very helpful to talk about
my feelings in ways I wouldn't feel comfortable doing, also they are nice
and non-judging so it makes me feel
good when I pet the cats."
- Josh, age 16
